In Halton, too many students face financial barriers that can make it harder to fully participate in school, from access to food and clothing to basic school supplies and learning opportunities. Supporting students isn’t something the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) can do alone. Local businesses and organizations play an important role, too.
Corporate partners help HLF ensure students have access to food, clothing, school supplies, and learning opportunities when financial barriers stand in the way. Whether through sponsorships, matching gifts, or employee engagement, business support helps strengthen the safety net around students and families.
Most importantly, there’s no single “right” way to get involved, only the approach that fits your organization’s values and goals.
Event Sponsorships & Partnerships
One meaningful way organizations can remove barriers to learning is by sponsoring HLF events throughout the year, including community fundraisers and signature events. For example, sponsoring our Annual Students in the Spotlight helps fund backpacks filled with school supplies for students across HDSB schools.
